Fostering Wellness Through Yoga: Student-Led Celebration of International Yoga Day 2025

On 21st June 2025, SARVAM, commemorated International Yoga Day by conducting yoga sessions across ten project villages. This initiative aimed to instil awareness of physical and mental well-being through yoga among school-going children. A total of 300 students participated in the event, demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm, discipline, and interest in integrating wellness practices into their daily lives.

Each session began with guided warm-up routines, followed by age-appropriate yoga postures and relaxation techniques. These practices were carefully tailored to suit the students’ physical abilities while emphasising the benefits of yoga in
reducing stress, enhancing concentration, and maintaining overall health. The interactive and supportive environment allowed students to learn and engage with confidence and joy.

The sessions concluded with a brief talk highlighting the significance of International Yoga Day and the increasing importance of mindfulness and inner balance in today’s fast-paced world. SARVAM expressed its gratitude to the coordinators, yoga instructors, and volunteers whose efforts ensured the programme’s smooth execution.
