SARVAM successfully conducted a two-day saree printing and marketing training workshop, aimed at empowering women and enhancing their financial independence. This initiative was part of SARVAM’s ongoing efforts to equip women with valuable handicraft skills, enabling them to explore income-generating opportunities and contribute to their household economy.
The workshop provided hands-on training in saree printing, allowing participants to learn and practice various techniques. By the end of the session, they had acquired the skills necessary to create beautiful and marketable sarees. The women expressed immense satisfaction and excitement about their newly developed skills, recognizing the potential for self-employment and financial stability.
Beyond technical training, SARVAM also conducted a marketing session to help participants understand pricing strategies, advertising methods, and customer outreach. This comprehensive approach ensured that the women were not only skilled in saree printing but also equipped to effectively market and sell their handmade products in local and regional markets.
The participants showed enthusiasm in sharing their knowledge with other women in their communities, ensuring a wider impact. This initiative is expected to inspire more women to take up saree printing, fostering a network of skilled artisans and strengthening community-based entrepreneurship.
The success of this training highlights SARVAM’s commitment to women’s empowerment through skill development. By providing both technical expertise and business acumen, this initiative has the potential to create sustainable livelihoods, uplift families, and contribute to the economic growth of the community.
