SARVAM, Puducherry, celebrated Children’s Day on the 16th and 17th of November 2024 with a vibrant programme that brought smiles and joy to over 500 children across 15 village centres. Held in honour of the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, the event echoed his fondness for children and underscored the importance of nurturing young minds.
The celebrations were thoughtfully curated, combining fun-filled activities with meaningful learning experiences. Group discussions were conducted to highlight the significance of Children’s Day, fostering awareness among children about their rights and opportunities. Creativity was encouraged through poster-making sessions, where the young participants showcased their artistic talents. Adding a touch of playfulness, a variety of games, including balloon games, brought immense excitement and energy to the event.
No celebration is complete without sweets, and the children were delighted to enjoy cakes and treats, making the event even more memorable. The inclusive and joyous atmosphere left the children feeling special and appreciated.
