SARVAM organised an Adolescent Students Capacity Building Programme for students from 15 villages, with the objective of equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to navigate the challenges of adolescence and emerge as responsible, capable, and socially conscious individuals. The programme was conducted in three batches to facilitate active participation, personalised interaction, and effective learning. It focused on strengthening essential life skills, enhancing communication abilities, nurturing leadership qualities, and fostering positive attitudes that contribute to holistic personal development.

The training adopted an interactive and experiential approach, encouraging students to actively engage in discussions, collaborative activities, and reflective exercises. Through structured group discussions, participants explored a range of topics relevant to their personal, educational, and social lives. These sessions provided a safe and supportive environment where students freely shared their ideas, experiences, and perspectives, while developing critical thinking, active listening, respectful communication, and the confidence to express their views constructively.

A series of activity-based learning sessions made the programme both engaging and practical. Interactive games, team-building exercises, and problem-solving activities challenged students to work collaboratively, make informed decisions, and strengthen their leadership and interpersonal skills. These hands-on activities encouraged creativity, cooperation, adaptability, and effective teamwork, while helping participants appreciate the value of mutual respect and collective effort in achieving common goals.

An important component of the programme was the chart work activity, where students worked together in small groups to creatively present their understanding of key themes through visual charts and presentations. This exercise enhanced their creativity, analytical thinking, presentation skills, and ability to communicate ideas effectively while reinforcing the importance of collaboration and shared learning.

To further inspire the participants, the resource persons shared real-life stories of individuals who had overcome personal and social challenges through determination, resilience, and perseverance. These inspiring examples encouraged students to believe in their own potential, remain committed to their educational goals, embrace challenges with confidence, and develop the resilience needed to overcome obstacles in life. The sessions also emphasised the importance of self-discipline, positive thinking, and continuous self-improvement as foundations for long-term success.

Throughout the programme, students participated enthusiastically and demonstrated a strong willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow. The positive and encouraging learning environment enabled them to develop greater self-confidence, strengthen essential life skills, and cultivate leadership qualities that will serve them in their academic pursuits and personal lives. Participants expressed appreciation for the interactive nature of the programme and shared that the activities and discussions had motivated them to become more responsible, self-aware, and goal-oriented.

The programme concluded on a highly positive note, successfully enhancing the students’ confidence, communication skills, leadership potential, and problem-solving abilities. By empowering adolescents with practical life skills and a positive mindset, the initiative reinforced SARVAM’s commitment to nurturing capable, resilient, and socially responsible young leaders who can make meaningful contributions to their families, communities, and society.
