Training on Financial Management and Safe Online Transactions for Women Entrepreneurs

Date: 14-Oct-2026

Location: Satyam Community Centre

A training programme on Financial Management and the Use of Online Transactions for Entrepreneurship was conducted for 75 women entrepreneurs in two batches at the Satyam Community Centre. The programme aimed to enhance the participants’ understanding of effective financial management, promote safe digital transaction practices, and strengthen their knowledge of the financial and strategic aspects of entrepreneurship.

An important component of the training focused on financial management and financial security, helping participants understand the importance of managing money effectively while establishing and running a business. The trainers emphasised the need to develop sound financial habits, including preparing budgets, maintaining regular savings, controlling unnecessary expenditure, and planning for future financial needs. Participants were also advised to keep important financial documents, identity proofs, bank records, and insurance papers safely stored and well organised. These practices were highlighted as essential for protecting financial information and ensuring that important documents remain accessible whenever required.

The programme also highlighted the importance of digital financial safety and the effective use of online transactions in entrepreneurship. Participants were introduced to digital payment methods such as Unified Payments Interface (UPI), mobile banking, internet banking, QR code payments, and online fund transfers. These methods can help make business transactions faster, more convenient, and more efficient. Alongside the benefits of digital payments, the trainers explained common online financial risks, including phishing messages, fraudulent payment links, fake customer payment screenshots, and unauthorised transactions. Participants were advised never to share their passwords, personal identification numbers (PINs), or one-time passwords (OTPs) with anyone. They were also encouraged to verify payment notifications and transaction details carefully before confirming financial activities to minimise the risk of fraud.

The training further addressed the importance of risk management and strategic planning in entrepreneurship. Riskmanagement involves identifying potential challenges and taking appropriate measures to minimise financial losses. Strategy, on the other hand, involves planning business activities, setting clear objectives, managing available resources effectively, and making informed decisions to support sustainable growth. Through these concepts, participants gained an understanding that successful entrepreneurship requires more than financial investment. It also depends on relevant knowledge, careful planning, responsible decision-making, and a positive and resilient entrepreneurial mindset.

Overall, the training programme provided valuable insights into managing personal and business finances, conducting online transactions safely, protecting financial resources, and developing essential entrepreneurial skills. It encouraged participants to apply these principles in their daily lives and future business activities, supporting the development of financially secure, responsible, and sustainable enterprises.
