Awareness on COVID-19 by Red Cross

An awareness programme on COVID was organized for the students in association with the Red Cross, Pondicherry. The main objective of this programme was to help the students understand that they have a major role in the eradication and prevention of the Coronavirus and explain the after-effects of the virus attack to their families and society. Around 50 students participated in the program.

The students were very happy to attend this session that gave them much awareness and self-confidence.

The Red Cross officials discussed with the students the current COVID scenario that is prevailing in Pondicherry.  They also stressed the importance of using the mask regularly apart from social distancing, sanitizer usage, and other preventive measures. They further gave them tips on how to handle if at all the third wave erupts.

At the end of the program, hygiene kits were distributed to the students that would keep them and their family members safe from the attack of the virus. Apart from masks, sanitizers the hygiene kid consisted of soap, oil, pad, paste, sanitary napkins, etc. Finally, the students took an oath on fighting against the spread of Coronavirus.
