SARVAM turns 19

For the last 18 years, Sri Aurobindo Rural & Village Action & Movement (SARVAM), the integral rural development initiative of Sri Aurobindo Society, has been carrying out various educational and empowerment activities in and around the villages of Poothurai. From one village, its outreach now covers 60 villages and more than 1,00,000 people. On February 2, 2023, SARVAM celebrated its Annual Day at the SATYAM Center in Poothurai village, Villupuram District, near Puducherry.

With the Mother’s Grace, SARVAM is beginning its 19th year. The lighting of the lamp followed the brief meditation. As an expression of deep gratitude, flowers were offered at the feet of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.

The celebration was attended by senior officials, coordinators, volunteers, staff, and teachers. More than 400 participants participated in the program and expressed their wishes to do more.

There was also an opportunity to look forward to the future, with all its prospects and challenges.
