With the support of Bandhan Bank, SARVAM successfully implemented the Bandhan Bank– SARVAM Community Development Support Programme at the Satyam Community Centre on 5 February 2026, focusing on education scholarships for girls and livelihood support for women entrepreneurs. The programme aimed to promote educational continuity among girls from below-poverty-line families while strengthening economic self-reliance among women through targeted entrepreneurial assistance.

As part of the education support initiative, SARVAM awarded education scholarships of ₹15,000 each to 25 girl students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The beneficiaries were selected based on their financial need and commitment to pursuing education. The scholarships are intended to support school or college fees, books, and other essential educational expenses, thereby reducing financial barriers that often hinder girls’ education. The distribution ceremony was held in the presence of students, their parents, SARVAM representatives, and volunteers. Parents expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the financial assistance would significantly ease their burden and enable their daughters to continue their studies with renewed confidence. The students, visibly encouraged, shared their aspirations and hopes for the future.

In addition to educational support, the programme extended vital assistance to 17 women entrepreneurs as part of SARVAM’s ongoing women’s empowerment and livelihood development efforts. These women received essential materials such as tables, steel racks, trays, and other basic equipment valued at ₹10,000 per beneficiary, tailored to their specific business needs. This infrastructural support addressed key challenges faced by the women, particularly the lack of adequate resources to organise, expand, and improve the efficiency of their enterprises. Many beneficiaries shared that this support would enable them to increase productivity, enhance income stability, and strengthen their sense of self-reliance.

Through this comprehensive initiative, SARVAM reaffirmed its commitment to fostering gender equality, promoting education, and empowering women economically. The support of Bandhan Bank played a crucial role in enabling meaningful interventions that contribute to long-term social and economic development within the community.
