Medical Camp, Blood Screening and Nutrition Awareness Program

Date: 17-Jul-2026

Location:  Satyam Community Centre

On 17 July 2026, SARVAM organised a Medical Camp, Blood Screening and Nutrition Awareness Programme at the Satyam Community Centre, benefiting 125 women from 15 villages. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare by providing accessible medical consultations, diagnostic screenings and practical guidance on nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices.

The medical camp was conducted by the dedicated team from AG Padmavathy Hospital, while Cluny Hospital provided comprehensive blood screening services. Participants underwent a range of essential diagnostic tests, including blood sugar, thyroid profile, Complete Blood Count (CBC), creatinine and other important health assessments. These screenings enabled the early detection of potential health concerns and encouraged timely medical intervention wherever necessary.

An experienced nutrition trainer also conducted an engaging awareness session on balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits and the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. Participants received practical advice on making nutritious food choices and adopting sustainable dietary practices that could improve not only their own well-being but also the health of their families. The interactive session encouraged women to understand the vital role of preventive healthcare and regular health check-ups in maintaining long-term wellness.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation, with women actively engaging in the medical consultations, diagnostic screenings and nutrition awareness sessions. Participants appreciated the opportunity to access quality healthcare services within their own community and valued the personalised medical guidance and follow-up recommendations provided by the healthcare professionals.

Overall, the integrated health initiative significantly enhanced participants’ awareness of preventive healthcare, nutrition and healthy living. A total of 125 women benefited from the programme, gaining valuable insights into their health status through medical consultations and diagnostic screenings. The participants expressed their appreciation for the initiative and requested that similar community-based health camps be organised regularly to support the well-being of rural communities.
