SARVAM organised an Orientation Programme on Fitness and Well-being for its volunteers on 7 November 2025 at the Satyam Community Centre. The session focused on promoting the importance of physical exercise, correct posture, and muscle health—especially for women over 40—to enhance overall health and vitality.

The session began by highlighting how regular physical activity contributes to maintaining fitness, preventing lifestyle-related illnesses, and improving mental well-being. The facilitator emphasised that exercise is not only essential for physical strength but also for cultivating confidence and resilience, particularly in women balancing personal and community responsibilities.

Participants were guided on the significance of maintaining proper posture in everyday life. Demonstrations illustrated how correct body alignment can prevent common ailments such as back pain, joint stiffness, and fatigue. The session also included practical demonstrations of simple stretching, breathing, and strengthening exercises that could be easily incorporated into daily routines without the need for special equipment. These activities helped volunteers experience first-hand the benefits of movement and mindful body awareness.

Special focus was given to muscle health and strength maintenance for individuals above 40, explaining how regular exercise enhances endurance, balance, and flexibility. The trainer elaborated on how consistent practice can counteract natural muscle decline and improve long-term well-being.

The volunteers actively participated throughout the session and expressed their appreciation for its practical value. Many shared that the exercises and guidance were easy to follow and highly relevant to their daily lives. The programme concluded with a collective request from participants for more such sessions in the future, recognising their immense importance for personal health and community wellness.
