Date: 09-Dec-2025
Location: 10 project villages

SARVAM organised a joyful and enriching refreshment programme for around 200 elderly women across ten project villages on 9 December 2025. The initiative was designed to uplift their emotional well-being, strengthen their mental resilience, and reinforce a sense of community and belonging. The session introduced themes such as mental strength, emotional balance, and rediscovering purpose in the later stages of life. Interactive exercises, including My Name – My Strength, encouraged the participants to recognise their inherent abilities and personal worth. A short talk on the Five Doors of Happiness helped them explore simple, practical ways to cultivate joy in their everyday lives.

The programme also included laughter exercises underscoring the idea that ten minutes of daily laughter can reduce stress and brighten one’s overall disposition. Cognitive wellness was supported through memory-boosting and attention-enhancing activities, while the My Life – My Colour segment gave participants space to share personal experiences and express themselves creatively. Light physical movements, breathing practices, group singing, and a gratitude circle added to the atmosphere of warmth, togetherness, and renewal.
The initiative is expected to enhance participants’ emotional health, social connection, and confidence. By creating an encouraging environment filled with meaningful interactions and joyful moments, the programme strengthened their sense of belonging and empowered them to approach life with greater positivity, independence, and inner strength.
