On 5th February 2025, SARVAM successfully conducted the Motivation Program for Women Self-Help Group (SHG) Leaders at the Satyam Community Centre, Puducherry. The program brought together women leaders from 10 villages, focusing on enhancing their leadership skills, boosting confidence, and strengthening their ability to drive positive change within their communities.
The initiative aimed at equipping SHG leaders with essential tools to manage their groups effectively, resolve conflicts, and implement social and financial improvements. A blend of interactive workshops, theoretical knowledge, peer discussions, and practical activities provided a holistic learning experience. The sessions covered financial management, leadership development, team coordination, and conflict resolution, ensuring that participants gained valuable insights into decision-making, communication, and leading by example.
A key highlight of the program was the use of real-life case studies showcasing successful SHG models, inspiring the women with stories of transformational leadership. Additionally, interactive discussions created an open forum where participants shared their challenges and best practices, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
To reinforce learning, engaging play-based activities, role-playing exercises, and confidence-building games were integrated into the sessions. These activities allowed participants to simulate real-life leadership scenarios, strengthening their problem-solving and teamwork abilities. Ice-breaking exercises further helped in building camaraderie, encouraging open communication and mutual learning among the women leaders.
The program concluded with overwhelmingly positive feedback, with participants expressing increased confidence and readiness to take on greater leadership roles in their respective communities. The knowledge and skills gained are expected to significantly impact SHG operations, fostering sustainable development and stronger grassroots leadership. By empowering these women, the initiative not only supports individual growth but also contributes to community transformation through collective action.
