On 14th February 2025, SARVAM organized a women’s health awareness program across 12 villages, benefiting 250 women by educating them on nutrition, hygiene, maternal health, and disease prevention. The initiative aimed to empower rural women with essential health knowledge, helping them lead healthier lives while ensuring the well-being of their families.
The sessions covered key health aspects, including maintaining a balanced diet, personal hygiene, and regular medical check-ups. Special attention was given to mental health, with discussions on stress management and emotional well-being. Experts emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare, raising awareness about common health issues such as anaemia, diabetes, and reproductive health concerns. Women were encouraged to recognize early symptoms, seek medical advice, and adopt proactive health measures.
To ensure effective learning, SARVAM used interactive methods, including group discussions, storytelling, and audio-based education. These techniques made complex health topics easily understandable, even for women with limited formal education. Participants actively engaged in the sessions, sharing their experiences and concerns. Many expressed gratitude for the valuable insights gained, feeling more empowered to prioritize their health.
As part of the initiative, SARVAM also distributed basic health kits and pamphlets containing essential health tips in local languages, ensuring the information remains accessible beyond the session.
The program was highly successful in raising awareness and encouraging women to take charge of their health. SARVAM remains committed to conducting similar initiatives in the future, striving to ensure that more rural women receive the healthcare knowledge and resources they need. By promoting women’s health, SARVAM is contributing to stronger families and healthier communities.
