An Entrepreneurship Skill Training Programme on the preparation of Agarbathi (incense sticks), Cone Sambrani, and Natural Lamps was successfully organised by SARVAM on 29 December 2025 at the Satyam Community Centre, with the support of Bandhan Bank. The one-day programme was designed to promote self-employment and sustainable livelihood opportunities, particularly for rural women and youth, by equipping them with practical production and entrepreneurial skills using eco-friendly materials.

The training was facilitated by an experienced resource person from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), who delivered a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience. Participants were guided through the entire production process, beginning with the selection and preparation of raw materials and progressing through mixing, moulding, drying, finishing, and quality enhancement techniques. Emphasis was placed on maintaining hygiene, fragrance standards, and consistency to ensure the production of durable and market-ready products.

In addition to technical training, the programme placed strong emphasis on entrepreneurship development. Sessions were conducted on costing, pricing, packaging, branding, and labelling, enabling participants to understand the commercial viability of their products. Guidance was also provided on MSME registration, basic legal compliance, and formal business practices to support the establishment and sustainability of micro-enterprises.

The programme further addressed market awareness by offering insights into consumer demand, seasonal and festival-based sales opportunities, and potential marketing channels such as local shops, self-help groups, fairs, and online platforms. Overall, the training programme successfully empowered participants with enhanced confidence, practical skills, and essential business knowledge, paving the way for income generation, economic self-reliance, and community-level livelihood development.
