From 24 to 31 December 2024, SARVAM organised a highly successful half-yearly camp for 400 children across 15 locations, focusing on developing soft skills, fostering creativity, and promoting environmental consciousness. Over six enriching days, children participated in diverse activities designed to nurture interpersonal abilities, artistic expression, and a sense of resourcefulness, ensuring holistic development.
Soft Skills Development
The camp offered interactive workshops, role-playing, and group discussions to enhance confidence, communication, teamwork, and leadership among children. These sessions encouraged active participation, helping children express themselves effectively while improving their social interactions and self-esteem.
Creative and Sustainable Activities
A key highlight of the camp was hands-on activities like greeting card making and crafting using natural materials such as leaves and twigs. These sessions ignited the children’s creativity while educating them about sustainable practices and environmental conservation. The joy and sense of accomplishment from these creative endeavors were palpable as the children proudly showcased their work.
Recreation and Community Building
To ensure a balanced schedule, the camp included recreational activities and games that fostered fitness, teamwork, and enjoyment. These sessions helped break barriers of shyness and built a vibrant, inclusive community spirit among the participants.
The camp concluded with an inspiring showcase of the children’s creations and learnings, leaving them motivated and excited to apply their newfound skills. This initiative has not only enriched the children’s lives but also empowered them to make a positive impact in their communities.
