Unleashing Confidence through Creativity: Theatre Games Training for Adolescent Girls

Date: April 29 – May 2, 2025

Location:  Satyam Community Centre

To foster creativity, self-expression, and self-confidence among adolescent girls, SARVAM, Puducherry, organised a vibrant and engaging three-day training programme from 29th April to 2nd May 2025 at the Satyam Community Centre. The focus of the training was on theatre games—used as an effective and enjoyable means to encourage personal growth and communication skills.

A seasoned theatre trainer from Bangalore facilitated the sessions, captivating the young participants with his dynamic and interactive teaching methods. His approach introduced theatre games not merely as performance tools but as a medium for enhancing emotional well-being, fostering teamwork, and unlocking individual potential.

The daily sessions were filled with laughter, enthusiasm, and an atmosphere of joyful learning. Activities encouraged spontaneity, increased self-awareness, and helped participants step out of their comfort zones. Many girls, initially shy and reserved, began to open up and express themselves more freely, connecting with others in meaningful and creative ways.

The programme concluded with participants radiating enthusiasm and a marked improvement in self-confidence. Several of them expressed that the training had been a turning point in helping them shed inhibitions and view themselves in a more positive light. The theatre games not only entertained but also empowered, leaving behind a memorable and transformative experience.
